The Green Phoenix Conference

Dec 09, 11 The Green Phoenix Conference

Macaco Tamerice at Green Phoenix 2011Macaco Tamerice went to the Green Phoenix conference in Schweibenalp, Switzerland on November 22 – 24, 2011.

She reports: My husband Inti and I as well as Simon had an adventurous roadtrip from Damanhur to Switzerland Monday night to arrive at the conference. It was one of the most fertile ones, from many points of view, that I had been to in a long time. There were about 90 participants, and I was there as a representative of both Damanhur and the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN) Europe.

The objective was to extrapolate possible solutions for a system change in the world considering four aspects: consciousness, ecology, economy, and living together. We found congruences within these four aspects, and also maintained a practical focus. In creating these NewMacaco, Inti and Sabine from Tamera Living models, we envision the future both locally and globally.

It was quite interesting to see how many things we have in common, and also what our differences are. We had deep discussions on themes like relationships, working solutions, principles, continuous presence and change. As often happens with people who live in community, there was a sense of complicity, of familiarity, as if we had always know each other. We look forward to continuing our sharing, cooperation and holistic work.
