THE HUMAN SOUL
The human soul is a complex structure, composed of different parts, which as a whole make up the spiritual, divine and cognitive essence of every individual. Knowledge and experiences derive also from lives lived in different moments of time. The human being is, by its nature, composed of multiple personalities. Each one has its own story, character, talents and desires. Each one of us is, therefore, several individuals, sharing the same body at the same time. In western culture, we are used to identify ourselves with the obvious ‘I’. However, it is not our true essence, but a tiny part of the wonderful complexity that we host. Each one of us is a symphony, composed of different notes and rhythms, represented by our personalities. Only by means of others, who mirror the diversity and wealth contained in each of us, is it possible to harmonize and link all our parts. In our species, the force which allows true communion is called ‘Love’. Therefore, to care for each other, to feel moved, to think positive thoughts, to cultivate beauty inside and outside thorough the arts, are real spiritual tools for Enlightment.
Note: the word God is not used to indicate the Unmoved Mover, the Absolute God which is All That Is. Rather, it indicates Its emanation within the world of Form. Damanhur’ philosophy calls ’Primeval Divinity Humankind’ the divine Force which has taken on itself the task of making matter divine.
